Ken Dean

vinyasa power yoga teacher

Ken was working for the federal government when a yoga class was offered in the office building complex.  A few years later, a teacher from Down Dog Yoga (DDY) gave Ken a business card worth a free class.  Always excited for a bargain, Ken went to a Friday 9:30 a.m. in the DDY Georgetown studio.  He enjoyed it and added that Friday class to his schedule whenever work permitted.  Then in 2014, Ken signed up for the 200 hour teacher training at DDY.  It was a transformative experience that he describes as “similar to army basic training, but without the profanity and yelling of drill sergeants''. Ken has been teaching at PureFire since January 2021.  He wants to spread the news and benefits of yoga to everyone.  You may find him at Starbucks drinking chai when he is not at the studio.
