Nicole Dockx
Yoga and Conditioning coach. Nicole shares her teachings with all ages and abilities. Nicole is especially interested in educating athletes about how yoga can benefit them and has developed and taught classes specifically for athletes who are looking to increase flexibility, build strength and quiet the mind.
Nicole played Division 1 softball for Fordham University. Her love of movement and wellness landed her a job with the New York Yankees and later Shape Magazine. When Nicole started her family she knew that nutrition and wellness was crucial, therefore she became a certified Holistic Health and Nutrition Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Throughout Nicole's corporate career and in the wellness industry she always participated in a wide variety of fitness classes. Nicole was hand picked by well known leaders in the barre industry out of NYC to train for their company as a barre and HIIT teacher. Soon after Nicole completed her 200 hr yoga teacher training with Powerflow Yoga and 300hr certification with Claire Diab, through the American Academy of Yoga. Nicole created a Fusion style class for Powerflow Yoga in New Jersey, that incorporated small twitch movements, conditioning and balance. She led multiple trainings for Powerflow Yoga Fusion and was fortunate to teach and mentor many new teachers.
Nicole has been living fitness and wellness since she can remember. She believes that taking time to do yoga or any physical activity is an opportunity for self-discovery, personal growth, and ultimately self acceptance. Nicole continues to study the science of yoga, breath and movement and looks forward to sharing it with you. Nicole is an experienced certified yoga, barre and conditioning teacher that adds motivation from personal experiences to connect with her students. Nicole believes that the best life lived is that of balance : hard work and rest.
