Nadis, in the ancient tradition of yoga, are described as subtle energy channels that run throughout the body, serving as pathways for the life force, or prana. They can be envisioned as the intricate network that facilitates the circulation of energy, similar to how blood vessels carry blood. Understanding these channels can offer insights into how the body's energy flows and how it affects our overall well-being.
In our class, led by Catherine Dahlman, we will delve deeper into the significance of these nadis and explore techniques to ensure their smooth functioning and optimal flow, fostering a sense of vitality and balance within.
The session will start with gentle body movements to prepare for effective pranayama. Catherine will thoroughly explain and demonstrate each technique, allowing you to experience them firsthand. Feel free to take notes and ask questions during the class. Plan to be seated for a significant portion of the session.
