The more intensely we play, live our lives, or practice our yoga, the more call for restoration. Bhramari does both.
In this class, led by Catherine Dahlman, we'll explore multiple applications of this wondrous pranayama, also known as Bumble Bee's breath. From intense-to-soothing or calming-to-stimulating, Bhramari pranayama is healing for the nervous system and harmonizes the hemispheres of the brain. We'll deepen our exploration by applying Kechari Mudra, a resting tongue placement on the roof of the mouth.
Throughout the session, we'll blend Asana and Pranayama, finishing class with soothing restorative postures, allowing your body to immerse itself in the deeply rejuvenating nectar, Soma, cultivated during Brahmari pranayama practice. There will be chances for seated meditation in a style especially helpful for beginners. You're invited to ask questions and take notes during the class.
